The Men’s Independence 8” work boots feature KEEN Luftcell, an air-infused midsole used for weightless comfort that meets ASTM D471-06 oil and isooctane chemical resistance standards. Weighing 25.3 oz / 717 g (per boot), made with durable, waterproof leather, and featuring a moisture-wicking lining the Independence 8" composite toe waterproof work boots for men are built off KEEN's traditional wider footwear form. KEEN Utility products offer removable insoles. These dependable work boots are great for medium-duty work in construction, masonry, utilities, landscaping, maintenance, and transportation. All KEEN Utility products are consciously created using PFC-free water repellent, and leather sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries. KEEN Utility believes in creating work boots that make work and life better. To further support that mission, KEEN Utility has been “Putting Good to Work” through its non-profit partnerships within the Project Build program. CARBON-FIBER TOE: Left and right asymmetrical, non-metallic carbon-fiber (composite) toes offer unobtrusive fit and are 15% lighter than steel; These boots meet or exceed ASTM F2412 and F2413 M I/75, C/75 EH standards

WATERPROOF: KEEN.DRY is a waterproof, breathable membrane liner that lets vapor out without letting water in to keep your feet dry and comfortable; The Independence 8” Composite Toe work boots have a mesh liner that integrates with the waterproof membrane

TRACTION: Featuring an oil- and slip-resistant outsole that is lighter weight and more durable than rubber, and a 90° heel (5/8") provides stability and helps "catch or lock" the foot in place; These boots meet or exceed ASTM F1677 Mark II and ASTM F2913

SUPPORT & COMFORT: These boots come with KEEN Luftcell air-infused, PU midsoles for weightless comfort; Made with a nylon shank, used for midfoot support and superior torsion stability, and moisture-wicking textiles to help keep feet dry
